Our 25th year of rescue work was a very hard one. The economy has hit many people and we have seen this reflected in a drop of donations and an increase in abandoned animals. Ine one ten-day period we trapped nine female cats and kittens in a deli which is now closed. At two or three litters a year there could have been over a hundred kitties in this area by summer- not a welcome event to the nearby neighbors or whoever takes over the deli.
Trapping, neutering, and finding good homes is a non-stop, year round job, and as long as there are irresponsible owners around, there is a big need for people to help out. Can you please help PAWS to continue this very necessary work?
We currently do not have any fundraisers planned, but are welcoming donations.
If you would like to send a donation, make your check payable to PAWS, and send it to PAWS, P.O. Box 894, Sayville, NY 11782.
